We collect the personal data that you provide to us directly, for example when you complete a contact, enquiry, subscription, feedback or event registration form, or otherwise correspond with us. Depending on the form or service, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, designation and the content of your message or request. We also collect certain information automatically through cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Notice. Where a form indicates that a field is mandatory, it is obligatory for you to supply that personal data, and we may be unable to respond to your enquiry or process your request if you do not supply it. We process personal data for purposes connected with MyPOWER's functions and activities, including to respond to your enquiries and requests, to provide information and services you have asked for, to manage event registrations and subscriptions, to administer and improve the website, and to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. We process personal data on the basis of your consent or on such other bases as are permitted under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose personal data to authorised service providers who process it on our behalf, to relevant Government authorities including PETRA, and to other parties where required, authorised or permitted by law, or with your consent.
Our website developer and hosting provider act as data processors on our behalf. They are subject to obligations to process personal data only on our instructions and to apply appropriate security measures.
Where our website hosting, cloud storage, content delivery, analytics or email services involve the transfer of personal data outside Malaysia, we will transfer that personal data only where the transfer is permitted under section 129 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and we will apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required to satisfy any legal, regulatory or operational requirements, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised.
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data, to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data, to request the portability of your personal data (subject to technical feasibility and compatibility of data format), and to limit the processing of your personal data, including for direct marketing.
